We headed off to breakfast having made the decision to avoid the 30 MPH winds along the Chicago Lakefront Trail today. Following breakfast we headed into the city to Hyde Park’s Native Foods Cafe.
On the way we passed a group of EBC members returning from ‘Little Italy‘ where they enjoyed a birthday breakfast for all the June honorees in their midst.
It should be pointed out that here in the suburbs (that John Greenfield thinks so little of) we do not have to be harangued into using our bikes for ‘short trips‘. The list of folks riding their bikes to breakfast is continuing to grow. Every time a new group arrives I personally welcome them and openly admire them for riding. The best smiles come from the children on their tiny bikes who have ridden the few miles without falling over.
