After stopping at the South Barrington L.L. Bean we found a couple pairs of biking gloves at the Pearl Izumi store. Then it was off to home to get the bikes ready for a ride to Naperville. It appears that the Daily Herald was reporting a collection of American flags planted on behalf of veterans for Memorial Day. But when we stopped by the Carillon in Downtown Naperville there were none. So we rode over to the Potter’s Restaurant and enjoyed some vegetarian fare. We got to sample and compare their lemonade with that enjoyed at Two Brothers. I liked this one a bit more.
The ride back home had us following a three-some of day touring cyclists (2 girls and an older fellow) also returning from Naperville. I suspect they were heading back towards our town since we saw them most of the way ahead of us until they reached the Herrick Lake F.P.
It was a great weekend for riding and the rain held off pretty much until we got home. We even zipped over to the Starbucks on the far side of town for ice lattes and still no rain. But as I am writing this there is thunder overhead. Still it was a wonderful weekend for certain.
