While the weather was a bit overcast outdoors, indoors the crowd was buzzing with excitement over the deals they were getting on new bikes and equipment. Person after person leaving the new and larger sales area was either rolling out a brand new bike or lugging large bags full of accessories for the daily commute or upcoming bike tour.
Jeff and Mark inside manning the recumbent sales area. Lots of bikes had been sold and many more were available. Bacchetta’s representative (another Mark) regaled us with information about the newly redesigned Bacchetta Bella LWB recumbent bike. It now sports tandem duty wheels with high flanges and has some very solid looking welds along the main tube.
After about an hour we all moseyed into the anniversary dining area for drinks, and great food. And for entertainment we got to hear from honorees who helped make this 40th anniversary gala possible. A great show was put on by all.
We sat with Ron and Sandy who were down from their home just north of the Milwaukee area. We chatted about the upcoming cross country tour that Chris is leading. It was good to see old faces and get caught up on the happenings during our time apart.
Then it was time to head home to get some sleep ahead of a busy riding day tomorrow.
