Jacquie Schlitter is a professor of Nursing at St. Petersburg College and mother of three. She has ridden bicycles for as long as she can remember, but started racing in ultracycling (12- and 24- hour) events in February 2011, setting her age-group record for 12-hour recumbent women at 254.7 miles. Since then, she has set three of the women’s records in ultracycling events. Jacquie holds the record for the 24-hour race at Bike Sebring, cycling 516.4 miles in the 2012, and the only woman in the history of the Sebring event to cover over 500 miles in a 24-hour period. Jacquie was also one of the 4-man mixed recumbent team that completed RAAM in 2012.
