After breakfast we decided to take a driving tour of the west and southern suburbs out our way. We followed the Fox River south to Oswego and found the Village Grind Coffee and Tea Co. We normally ride there from Batavia on our bicycles. The shop is quaint as is the town.
All along the main street there are planters painted no doubt by kids depicting the business conducted in the shops outside of which they sit. Connie made most of those images and I captured a few outside the shop itself.
I used Photoshop to transform the regular images into a visual format named the Orton Effect. It is ghostly and other-worldy. It seemed to work fairly well with some of the images.
