Tour de Fat Festival Ride

Summary

The Tour de Fat Festival was held in Palmer Square in the Logan Square neighborhood. We arrived a half hour late to the beginning of the neighborhood bicycle parade. Later we caught up with Jerry Lee a friend from the old Wisconsin-Illinois Recumbent Bicycle Club. He was riding his newest electric bicycle which he says gets him some 8-10 miles per battery pack. He is able to reach speeds approaching 20 MPH.

When the parade group had returned the festival stage struck up the band music and folks enjoyed a great time rocking to the music and drinking Fat Tire Ale from the sponsor New Belgium Beer. The festival was in benefit of West Town Bikes.
