Today was the day that Nikon released update 1.11 to its firmware for the Nikon 1 V1. I installed the version that was on the European website deciding not to wait until the guys stateside had eaten their donuts and drunk their coffee before mounting the same for us Yanks.
The primary purpose of the update was to handle some flash-related issues that was causing folks to complain about blocked highlights when shooting outdoors or indoors at lower ISO sensitivities. At any rate after having installed the software I made my way outdoors to take some images of buildings and the like in my neighborhood.
