My sister Connie Colar took these video clips using a Flip Video Cam Corder on 13 December 2011. The group performing is the South Shore Drill Team in which her son (Berry) participates.
This group operates out of the Gary Comer Youth Center on the south side of Chicago. They are known across the Chicagoland area and are a featured favorite at the Bud Billiken Parade each year.
“The Youth Center is dedicated to providing a greater opportunity for young people in this neighborhood to practice, to learn, to study, and to sharpen their skills and intellect. This Youth Center is for the children.
May they use it well.”
