Chicago Snow Days 2011 – Report

Snow Sculptures

Navy Pier was the site this year of the annual winter snow sculpture contest. There were lots of folks out admiring the artistry and watch sled dogs perform and snowboards zip down a manmade ski slope.

Contestants from all over the world (some of them professional teams) entered the contest and made for a very inviting way to spend a winters day.

Most of the sculptures had prominently displayed plaques giving the name of the artwork and identifying the team which produced it.

After the viewing of the sculptures we hied ourselves down to Hyde Park and enjoyed a vegan meal at the Cedars of Lebanon Restaurant.
